This Bardot-style Dirndl Dress was made especially for Margo Rosie in the 1960s’.
The dress was ordered from Greenlands of Hereford, also known as “The Harrods Of The West” and was made by Bijou Original. It features a full gathered skirt; self-bodice inset, straps, and trim. The box pleated skirt is made up of three layers, a starched linen petticoat layer, followed by a black satin style and a devour lace.
A thin velvet belt accentuates the 26-inch waist.
We can imagine Margo feeling like a princess and making quite the entrance at the ballroom at Letchworth Lodge. Draped over her shoulders; a shimmering shawl, and around her neck a diamond necklace with a matching bracelet around her right wrist.
