About the event

Upcycled t-shirt baskets

Join us over 2 sessions to create your very own yarn from unwanted T-Shirts and then crochet a storage basket and coasters.  You know you have t-shirts just sitting in the back of a draw, a bit faded, or out of style.  Give them a new lease of life and learn some great upcycling skills.

Dates:  Saturday 9th & 16th September 2 - 4.30 Re-Create room

Session 1:

Deconstruct 1 or more t-shirts and learn the cuts needed to turn a t-shirt into usable yarn.

Session 2:

Using simple Crochet stitches, follow a pattern to create a storage basket and coasters from the yarn you have created.

All classes will be small (max 8 people inc tutor), inclusive and relaxed, and suitable from 12 yrs old (under 16s must be accompanied by a paying adult)  Class costs include all equipment and resources needed (but feel free to bring a t-shirt or 2 if you want) and refreshments (please let us know your dietary needs/ favourite cake)
