Q3 2022 - 100 miles per hour, not enough minutes in the day and ReDo Fashion
Q3 is the quarter of "Oh Wows"!
We soon settled in our double office but it didn't take long for us to realise that we soon will need more. Without the help from supporter Paul, offering us a large storage space in his garden, most of our events would have been a struggle. Just imagine trying to store 1/2 a tonne of clothing somewhere!
ReDo Fashion took up a lot of time, with planning, meetings with the charities. With St Martins, Nansa, Big C, Oxfam and Prisilla Bacon onboard we had a fantastic lineup. Slightly panicking about timings and money at times, being a new organisation we found it hard to access funding. How do you prove what you can do when most of it still are ideas? In the end it was Arnold Clarks community fund that made it all possible with their cash injection of £1000, covering the venue hire as well as posters and flyers.
Thanks to the hard work of especially Val from ReDo, we made sure that we could honor the promise of prize money to the winning charity. The First Annual ReDo Fashion Award - Best pop-up was awarded to St Martins with a cheque of £500 given to them together with certificate. A further £50 and certificate was awarded to Prisilla Bacon for the best "Go Wild" outfit of the event.
Over 2 tonnes saved from landfill this quarter, and that is not including what the charities sold at the ReDo Fashion event. An amazing £1241.16 given to charities through prize money and sales, and 734 parcels sent out through our online sales. Incredible!
